Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Split PDF tool free?

Yes. Splitting PDFs is free, with no account or signup required and no per-file or per-page charges.

Does my PDF get uploaded to a server?

No. The split runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded; pages are read, split, and packaged locally before download.

How large a PDF can I split?

There is no fixed limit beyond your browser’s available memory. Very large PDFs are still processed locally, so the export step may take longer for documents in the hundreds of megabytes.

What does the download contain?

A single ZIP archive that contains every split PDF as a standalone file, named after the source document and the page range it covers.
